Out Of Hours

NHS 111 is a new NHS telephone number to call when you need medical help or advice.  It is also the way to contact the GP out of hours service for Ealing.

 Calling NHS 111 will get you through to a team of trained advisers, who are supported by experienced nurses/paramedics. They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms and give you the health care advice you need or direct you to a local service that can help you best.

 If NHS 111 advisers think you need an ambulance, they will immediately arrange for one to be sent to you.

 The NHS 111 service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

 Calls to NHS 111 are free from landlines and mobiles.

Urgent Care Centres

There are a number of Urgent Care Centres in the area which can treat residents who require care immediately for illnesses or injuries that aren’t life-threatening. The Urgent Care Centres at Ealing Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital are open 24 hours a day, including weekends and public holidays

Useful information on local centres and services can be found at:

7 Day a Week Access to GPs

Between local Practices we are currently offering seven day access to a GP.

If you feel unwell on Saturdays and Sundays call NHS 111 for medical help and advice. If the trained 111 adviser thinks you need to see a GP, you will be directed to the nearest open practice. You do not need to be registered with the practice you are directed to in order to use this service.

Please remember in an emergency if you are unsure what to do, telephone 999 from any telephone. You won't be charged for the call and that number also works from any payphone.
