Health Care Assistants
Our Health Care Assistants (HCAs) work under the supervision of our Practice Nurses to provide care to patients needing a variety of physical tests and other aspects of care to support the management on long-term conditions.
This includes diabetic checks, 24-hour blood pressure monitors, injections for adults, simple wound care, diabetic foot care, ear care, anticoagulation monitoring, ECGs and NHS Health Checks.
Our HCAs do not do routine blood tests – these are done by the phlebotomy service the Practice employs.
